In 2020, the practice was appointed as the Planning Consultant to the Attorney General’s Working Group on Planning and Development to undertake the the revision, consolidation, and where necessary improvement of the Planning and Development Acts 2000-2021. The role included providing advice to the Senior Counsel members of the Working Group on practical issues arising under the existing and proposed legislation; contributing advices, proposals and options on all areas of the legislation; liaising with the Department of Housing and Planning on policy matters and draft legislation; and, assisting in the drafting and review of the Planning and Development Act 2024. The practice also supported the Attorney General’s Office and the Department in drafting the Urban Development Zone and Land Value Sharing legislation.
